about

Whoever was chasing her seems to have lost her trail. There was a bit of a scuffle on the way out of there, but it was too dark to see who exactly she was fighting off (or "what", suppose). Sometimes you can just tell when you're being watched, so when that feeling finally subsists it feels like a strong indicator that you're in the clear for a while. Time to get some shut-eye. We can take a look at solving this mess in the AM.

Instrumentation:
Roland XV-2020

--------
I didn't give myself a lot of time for this one. I got home from a short trip wednesday morning, taught weds and thurs, and then I had a show to get ready for and play that wiped out friday and saturday. Woke up this morning after the show and couldn't lift my head. The crowd was enthusiastic, but incredibly low energy, and there were no visuals, so I did what I do best: Expend six times as much energy as I actually have and either break stuff or injure myself.

I wanted to keep the sound design minimal and the song short, so I made use of my Roland XV-2020. It has some really fantastic sounds, but it is incredibly limited in what you can do with them, and the reverb is really underwhelming (there MIGHT be a way to use sysex to edit the reverb type). I'm not sure if it's technically XG specs, but it's definitely a super expanded GM style soundbox. I think I may have used it for a WB song for it in 2016, but I can't remember and I wanted to give it another test run to re-acquaint myself with it for the future.
